Modern Estate Living
Category: Private Residential
Scope of works: Kitchen and Living Room Remodel. New blinds. New colour scheme. Exterior Finishes Remodel.
The original property was ‘developed to sell’ as a simple 4-bed home. While the location boasts awesome views, the developer had cut costs by using cheap laminate flooring, randomly placed downlights, too few plugs, timber and wire railing and a very poorly designed and old fashioned fitted kitchen (which we refitted into the garage).
The new European owners enjoyed entertaining and cooking and are accustomed to modern high-end styling and quality. The owners favourite colour was soothing Taupe, and various shades were used to create a harmonious feel. We balanced the putty tones with shimmering greys, and outlines of black and pearlescent – combining textures of leather, smoky glass, polished stainless steel and timber.
The views were enhanced by installing glass balustrades, and interior/exterior living space extended by installing Luxaflex automated metal awnings & fascia. Boring walls were clad with riven stone quartzite to add texture & glamour. And the entrance approach, including the front door, was changed to add character& drama.
Detailed construction and design, drawing & planning was required for the new floating fireplace & TV surround all clad in 6mm Neolith with seamless joins and beaten stainless steel splashback.
